Windows

Some History

Ken Brownlow first came to Ladysmith in 1975. At that time, he worked in his father “Uncle” Walter’s hardware store in town, which provided window repairs as part of its business. In 1978 when Thermoproof Windows opened in Chemainus, they then started installing windows locally and business started growing.

TAKE 5 Magazine

“Having grown up in the construction industry and being around renovations and similar jobs that Ken Brownlow does, I was extremely pleased with the entire process of the installation of nine new windows in my manufactured home. I am beyond pleased that five weeks ago I was talking to Ken about windows and here I am now sitting in my place with these fantastic triple pane windows installed. Ken’s crew was here on time and like he promised the job was done in less than an eight hour day allowing me to get on with other parts of the renovations. Ken is what I would call a straight shooter no BS tells you exactly With no sugarcoating. He’s old school , like me, And although I didn’t get to meet his wife She is also an integral part of the business. I’ve already recommended them to another neighbour in the park and I look forward to hearing from her on how her windows will have improved her living situation.” ~ William Flower (Google review)
